Guided Assembly
Guided Assembly is a visual aid software suite designed for the Smart-Arm. The software suite consists of two components Design-Studio lite and Run-Time lite:
- Design-Studio lite: This product is used to create the program, in an open loop, that will be uploaded into Run-Time for the operator to use as a visual aid during the screw tightening process. Each program consists of a set of Steps. Each step has an independent scaled .jpg of the part being assembled, a set of work instructions, and a screw tightening target; represented by a red circle. One license is required per customer site.
- Run Time lite: This product allows for programs generated in Design Studio to be uploaded and run in a closed loop with the Smart-Arm controller. A cross hair that represents the centroid of the screwdriver on the end of the Smart-Arm flys over the .jpg of the part with the target you have programed into Design Studio. When the centroid of the tool is positioned over the target the circle turns from red to green and the screwdriver is enabled for operation. One license is required for each Smart-Arm.
Product Road Map: Design-Studio HD and Run-Time HD is on the road map for development. The HD version will allow for a closed loop interface with the Smart-Arm control box during programing. This will enable the ability to edit all the parameters in the Smart-Arm control box. Many more step types will be added (the lite version only offers a screw tightening step) and all the I/O will be mappable. We are in search of a customer to work through a Beta verison with us.
